HOTEL STATEMENT SELENA VILLAGE HOTEL FOR COVID-19
SELENA VILLAGE implements a strict health and safety program, as suggested by the health protocols and Greek Health Organization. Safety and health of our guests and staff, is of highest importance.
The director coordinates the health and safety program. All different department supervisors and staff, have received special training on COVID-19, on the online seminars, from the University of Crete, and have received the special certificate, which makes them knowledgeable in handling cases protection and treatment.
All hotel staff undergoes a mandatory regular thermal control, as well, as the weekly rapid/self test.
Informative posters have posted throughout the staff area.
All our employees are provided with personal protective equipment for all employees.
In all public areas, we keep the distances between the seats, and we have adjusted the table seats, in order to avoid overcrowding, always according to government instructions.
Hand sanitizing stations are provided in visible places, for our guests and staff.
Floor signage and informative posters, are set, to remind of physical distances.
Increased frequency of disinfection, of all public areas and staff areas is applied with attention to frequently touched surfaces.
Guests are recommended to use their private WC, instead of the public.
Lounge chairs and tables are disinfected after customer use.
Lounge chairs, and umbrellas are arranged in appropriate physical distances.
Maximum number of person in the pool, is 1 per 5 sq. meters.
Reception staff is trained to be able to inform customers about issues related to the disease, as well as to observe and follow the correct procedure in case of covid-19 incident.
Health aid box, with gloves, masks, antiseptics, cleaning wipes, laser thermometer, apron, long-sleeved uniform, is disposal in the reception area.
Disinfectants devices have been installed at the reception entrance , and at the restaurant entrance.
Customers are informed that the transaction with credit or debit cards is preferable to the transaction with cash, for purely security reasons.
Everything received from the front desk, safe keys, and hair dryers are disinfected before delivered to the customer.
Special UV disinfected key box on the reception desk.

Important information: Request for guests’ personal data (address, telephone number, email etc), during check in, for public health protection and the possible need of tracing.
CLEANING OF ROOMS
Cleanliness of the rooms and public areas has been particularly enhanced, with specialized cleaners and disinfectants always according to protocols and Greek Health Organization.
Operating with a priority to minimize risk, and enhance safety for our guests, and staff.
The room cleaning staff is trained and equipped with mask, gloves, and apron.
The cleaning and disinfection of the clothing is performed by a specialized, with all the licenses provided.
The air conditioning systems are checked by the engineers, cleaned and disinfected according to the requirements of the Greek Legislation.
RESTAURANT - SNACK BAR
The menus are made of material that can be disinfected after the customer use.
Spices, such as salt, pepper and others such as sugar, honey, etc., will be served in individual portions.
We disinfect tables and chairs before customers sit down.
The restaurant staff is equipped with masks, gloves, and aprons.
All interior areas are always open for better fresh air circulation.
Trays and trolleys are disinfected frequently.
Cleaning and disinfecting products are approved. The staff is trained in their proper use.
The kitchen of our hotel operates according to HACCP specifications, and with hygiene protocols.
Work surfaces & shared equipment disinfected regularly.
Kitchen workers follow all hygiene protocols, wearing masks, gloves, aprons, etc.
The gym will not be open for this year.
